Chelsea Green Pushes Back On Criticism Over White House Fan Fest Appearance

Chelsea Green has responded to criticism over her inclusion in UFC’s Freedom 250 Fan Fest in Washington, DC, framing her attendance as a job obligation and saying her advocacy work will continue regardless.

A fan on X accused Green of prioritizing money over her publicly stated support of trans rights, given that the political stances she has taken do not align with those of the current administration. Green pushed back directly.

“Doing my job and supporting the community are not mutually exclusive. I’ll continue to do what I can to advocate for human rights whether you approve or not.”

Green is among the WWE names announced for meet-and-greets at the fan fest, which runs June 13 and 14 at The Ellipse outside the White House. Other WWE talents confirmed include Charlotte Flair, The Miz, Trick Williams, The Usos, Tiffany Stratton and Bron Breakker. The June 14 fights take place on the White House’s South Lawn. WWE and UFC share parent company TKO.

Green, who is originally from Canada, has faced similar situations before. Last year she received backlash and death threats after speaking positively about Hulk Hogan on the day of his death without addressing his racism controversy, which led her to take a social media break. She is one of the WWE names most frequently used for public and media appearances.
