AEW and the Minnesota Twins have announced Brawl in the Ballpark, a postgame wrestling event on July 10 at Target Field in Minneapolis — the first time a Major League Baseball team has hosted a professional wrestling show as a postgame event.
The event follows the Twins’ 7:10 PM CT game against the Los Angeles Angels and will run approximately 75 minutes in a specially constructed ring inside Target Field’s Gate 34 area. Admission is free with any ticket to that night’s game. VIP ringside packages and a co-branded Twins/AEW Lucha mask hat package are available separately at twins.com/brawl.
AEW and ROH stars will appear, with no specific names announced yet. Jeff Jarrett attacked AEW’s Top Flight — Minnesota’s own Dante and Darius Martin — at Tuesday night’s Twins game against the Houston Astros in a pre-game angle, teasing a match at the event.
Tony Khan said in the official press release: “The event will mark another unforgettable night of All Elite Wrestling action in an incredible location, and we look forward to showcasing AEW to all Minnesota Twins fans.”
Twins Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Sean Moore added the partnership is “part of our ongoing efforts to create memorable, fan-first experiences that give people even more reasons to enjoy a visit to our ballpark.”
The July 10 date sits roughly seven weeks before AEW’s All In London at Wembley Stadium on August 30.
