WWE filed a trademark for “The Glamour” on May 19 — the nickname of SmackDown call-up Blake Monroe — covering a full range of entertainment services including live wrestling exhibitions, broadcast media, online content and fan club services.
Monroe’s SmackDown debut is expected before the end of May, per PWInsider, though the timeline is subject to change. Vignettes promoting her arrival on the blue brand have already aired. Monroe, whose real name is Mariah May Mead, won the NXT Women’s North American Championship before losing the title to Tatum Paxley in a casket match ahead of her call-up.
Before WWE, Monroe spent years on the UK independent circuit before moving to Japan for a run with World Wonder Ring Stardom, where she won the Goddesses of Stardom Championship alongside Mina Shirakawa. She signed with AEW in 2023 and won the AEW Women’s World Championship before departing and joining WWE in June 2025.
Mark Henry praised Monroe extensively following her call-up, saying she has no weakness in her game and can flip and fly, grapple, chain wrestle, punch and kick.
