Baron Corbin’s WWE return is in its final stages, with WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reporting that locker room sources view him as a clear favourite to come back and that sources inside WWE now believe a deal is imminent.
Fightful’s earlier report noted the belief that Corbin is either already signed or will be imminently, with the former champion currently finishing up his commitments with MLW, where he held the World Tag Team Championships alongside Donovan Dijak for 329 days as the Skyscrapers. Dave Meltzer separately reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Corbin has been “heavily talked about” internally and that his gut feeling is that Corbin is connected to the ongoing Danhausen “something bigger” tease on SmackDown, though he stressed that is personal speculation.
Corbin, 41, departed WWE in November 2024 when his contract was not renewed after a 12-year run. He went on to rebuild under the Bishop Dyer name across MLW, GCW, the NWA and Maple Leaf Pro before the WWE reunion conversation opened up. He has also had one AEW appearance in 2026.
