Chad Gable Gets High Praise From Legends

Chad Gable has received an outpouring of praise following his mask versus mask loss to Ludwig Kaiser at AAA Noche de Los Grandes on May 30, with Jeff Jarrett and JBL among the most prominent voices calling out his performance.

JBL called Gable the best wrestler in the world following the match. Jarrett, who was in Monterrey for the event, said Gable’s run with the El Grande Americano character has been one of the most memorable extended stories WWE has told in recent memory, and praised the company’s partnership with AAA for allowing it to happen.

Finn Balor called the match a masterpiece and said he had already watched it twice. “So good I already had to watch it twice. I encourage you also. Masterpiece.” The Undertaker also commented, describing the match as incredible.

Gable himself posted after the unmasking: “What an atmosphere. What a crowd. What a moment. Thank you Mexico.” He has since confirmed he plans to return to AAA and remains under WWE contract through June 2027.
