Maria Kanellis-Bennett has shared that she is cancer-free after having a rare adrenal gland tumor removed, describing it as a one-in-a-million diagnosis that many doctors had never seen before.
Speaking on the Wrestling Life Online podcast, Maria reflected on the discovery and surgery.
“It’s great, a one in a million tumor. I had so many doctors that are like, ‘You just never see these.’ And it was a tumor that literally engulfed my adrenal gland. A lot of times they don’t find them, ’cause why would you? Why would you scan your adrenal gland? But thank God for my doctor. I’m an incredibly blessed woman.”
Maria first revealed the tumor two years ago. The operation has since left her completely cancer-free. She is a former TNA Knockouts Champion who has also appeared for WWE, AEW and ROH.
