With just days remaining until the 2026 Royal Rumble, speculation is running rampant regarding potential surprise entrants from the developmental brand. According to a new report from PWInsider, there is significant backstage chatter suggesting that NXT standout Sol Ruca may be slated to enter the Women’s Royal Rumble match this Saturday in Riyadh.
The rumors were fueled by notable absences during this week’s episode of NXT. Ruca was not featured on the show, which stood out given that her tag team partner, Zaria, suffered a loss to Thea Hail. Furthermore, other prominent names like Blake Monroe and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne were also missing from the broadcast. While none of these three women have been officially announced for the Rumble, their sudden disappearance from television has led fans to believe they may have traveled to Saudi Arabia ahead of the premium live event.
Currently, there are 13 spots left unannounced for the 30-woman over-the-top-rope match, leaving plenty of room for surprises. Ruca’s inclusion would be particularly interesting given her recent momentum; she and Zaria recently earned a future opportunity at the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships after winning a Number One Contenders match last week. Whether Ruca, Monroe, or Jayne make their presence felt in the Kingdom remains to be seen, but the developmental system has a long history of making a splash during Rumble season.
