WWE Hall Of Famer Maps Out “Monster” Run For Gunther Including Two Major Retirements

Gunther has established himself as the ultimate legend killer of the modern era. In just the last ten months, “The Ring General” has sent icons like Goldberg and John Cena into retirement, cementing his legacy as a dominant force. With a Career Threatening Match against AJ Styles looming at Royal Rumble 2026, many are wondering who could be next. According to WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray, the answer is “The Beast Incarnate.”

Bully Ray Pitches Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar For SummerSlam

Speaking on a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast, Bully Ray outlined a scenario that would elevate Gunther to god-tier status. He proposed that after potentially retiring Styles in Saudi Arabia, Gunther should turn his attention to Brock Lesnar. “Look at what is on the table for GUNTHER in the next six months. The potential,” Ray said. “Retire AJ at the Rumble, bring back Brock [Lesnar], retire Brock at SummerSlam in his home of Minnesota.”

Ray believes that this sequence of events is the final step in Gunther’s evolution. “You have now done everything that you could possibly do to make GUNTHER a monster who can be next level credible World Heavyweight Champion in the future,” he argued. Retiring Styles and Lesnar in the same year would be an unprecedented feat, but given Gunther’s current trajectory, it is certainly not out of the realm of possibility.
