After days of rumors and leaks, WWE and 2K have officially confirmed that CM Punk is the cover star for WWE 2K26. The announcement was made on Friday, January 30, marking the first time Punk has graced the cover of a WWE game since WWE ’13 was released back in 2012. The choice highlights Punk’s massive resurgence in popularity since his return to the company.
In addition to the cover reveal, 2K confirmed that the standard edition of the game will hit stores on Friday, March 13. While release dates for other editions remain unknown, fans won’t have to wait long to see the game in action. A gameplay trailer is scheduled to premiere during the Royal Rumble premium live event this Saturday. With Punk front and center, 2K26 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated entries in the franchise’s history.
