Rhea Ripley Reveals Inspiration Behind Royal Rumble Gear With Iyo Sky

The Women’s Tag Team Champions, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, entered the Royal Rumble at numbers 22 and 20 respectively, but it wasn’t just their in-ring performance that caught the eye. Fans noticed a distinct contrast in their attire, with Ripley in all-black and Sky in bright yellow. Taking to Instagram after the show, “Mami” revealed the adorable inspiration behind the coordinated look.

Ripley shared that their gear was a direct homage to the iconic Looney Tunes duo, Sylvester the Cat and Tweety Bird. Ripley’s dark gear represented Sylvester, complete with a red nose tip painted on to mimic the cartoon cat, while Sky’s yellow ensemble represented the famous canary. The playful nod highlighted the unique bond between the two champions.

While their gear was lighthearted, the match was anything but. Sky was eliminated by Lash Legend, prompting a furious Ripley to avenge her partner by tossing Legend over the top rope moments later. Ripley went on to score three eliminations before being dumped out by Raquel Rodriguez. Despite failing to win, the champs proved they are on the same page—cartoonishly so.
