Nia Jax Shoots On Jade Cargill Incident

Nia Jax is finally addressing the controversial spot that left Jade Cargill busted open during their SmackDown triple threat match last September.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Jax reflected on the chaotic scene where she drove Cargill face-first into the steel steps, causing a significant laceration above her eye. Jax admitted that, in the heat of the moment, she was unaware of the damage she had caused.

“That was weird because I, um… I know I’m strong. But to me, I didn’t realize it happened. I didn’t realize she hit her head so hard on the steps,” Jax explained.

It wasn’t until after the match that the reality of the situation set in.

“I didn’t see the full extent of it until later—I was shocked she was split open that badly. It was definitely a different moment for sure, but yeah, that was pretty scary.”

Cargill previously revealed that the incident caused panic backstage, noting that Triple H was yelling to “get that camera off her” due to concerns about sponsors and children watching. Despite the backstage chaos and the scary nature of the injury, Cargill has since brushed it off, describing the bloody visual as a “badass scene.”
