What’s Opening WWE NXT?

The “Say His Name” era of NXT officially begins tonight. Just hours before the show goes live on The CW Network, the brand confirmed that the new NXT Champion, Joe Hendry, will open the February 10, 2026 episode. This marks Hendry’s first appearance since his monumental title victory last week, and fans are already buzzing about what the charismatic Scotsman will have to say.

“Say His Name and He Appears!”

WWE took to Twitter to break the news, stating: “Say his name and he appears! New NXT Champion @joehendry will get his championship reign started when he KICKS OFF #WWENXT tonight!” With the microphone in his hand and the gold around his waist, expect fireworks right from the jump at 8 PM ET.

The rest of the card is equally stacked with high-stakes action. A unique #1 Contender’s Match for the NXT Women’s Championship will see the team of Sol Ruca & Zaria take on Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair. The stipulation dictates that the specific individual who scores the pinfall or submission will earn the title shot, adding a layer of potential friction between partners.

Additionally, the finals of the WWE Speed Tournament will take place as Josh Briggs squares off against Eli Knight. The undercard features a grudge match between Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe, as well as tag team action pitting the fan-favorite duo of Hank Walker & Tank Ledger against Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes.
