With WrestleMania 42 drawing closer, the card for the biggest show of the year remains surprisingly fluid. According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE has not yet locked in the direction for the SmackDown Women’s Championship match. While Jade Cargill is set to defend her title against Jordynne Grace this week on SmackDown, her opponent for Las Vegas is still up in the air.
“We’re told that WWE has yet determined the direction of the SmackDown Women’s Championship match for the event,” the report noted. However, two major names have emerged in internal discussions. “A source indicates that multiple ideas have been discussed internally, with Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill among the more frequently considered matchups.”
With Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan yet to declare her choice and the Elimination Chamber looming, the picture for the women’s division is likely to become clearer in the coming weeks.
