Matt Hardy Questions WrestleMania Ticket Prices

While Vince McMahon sold off the global juggernaut, WWE fans thought they would finally see a fresh change of pace. They expected new directions in storylines, angles, and business practices.

However, it seems that Triple H is being urged to improve the creativity by some of the most established names in the industry. Matt Hardy recently questioned the company’s approach to their biggest stadium show of the year.

This year, WrestleMania 42 is being held in Las Vegas once again. WrestleMania 41 was a sweeping success in the exact same city, and WWE might be trying to replicate that specific magic.

As per recent reports, WWE has only sold about half the tickets for each night of the event. It seems that the ticket prices have skyrocketed to a level that is alienating regular viewers.

On The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the former WWE Superstar discussed the situation. He questioned the decision to have WrestleMania in the very same place for two consecutive years.

He also pointed out the issue with the staggering ticket prices currently listed on the market. “It’s a tough sell, too. Vegas was so good last year, and they did these record numbers, and I guess they bid for them to come back, right?” Hardy stated.

“But it’s tough to go into the market two years back-to-back. And those tickets are pricey,” he added. The veteran performer highlighted the financial realities that many families are currently facing.

“Since the pandemic, it’s kind of been a roller coaster ride for everyone,” Hardy explained on the broadcast. He noted that entertainment is a luxury rather than a necessity.

“It’s hard to justify spending that much money on tickets for entertainment; that isn’t something that you have to have in your every single day life to survive and live and be okay. So it’s a tough sell,” he ended.

Despite his critiques of the pricing structure, Hardy remains closely tied to the wrestling giant. The TNA World Tag Team Champion recently confirmed that he and his brother Jeff Hardy are actively speaking with the promotion.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Hardy revealed that the duo is in constant negotiations with WWE. He teased that the legendary tag team will likely make more appearances for the company throughout the 2026 calendar year.

Hardy emphasized that their current priority is helping TNA Wrestling grow and succeed on their new television network. However, the strong working relationship between the two companies allows the brothers to cross over for special moments.
