Thunder Rosa has made her interest in signing with CMLL abundantly clear. Speaking with The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, the AEW star was asked about the possibility of adding a CMLL dual contract to her portfolio — a trend that has recently included names like Mistico and Persephone — and her response left zero ambiguity.
“Really, you gonna ask me that question? Of course I’m interested in something like that. It’s a big deal, it is such a big deal and it’s such an honor when they recognize you to be somebody to be part of their organization. Absolutely, it would be an honor,” Rosa said.
The dual contract arrangement has become an increasingly popular model in professional wrestling, allowing talent to represent multiple promotions simultaneously and expand their reach across different wrestling cultures. Claudio Castagnoli signed with CMLL back in March, becoming the latest high-profile name to make the move. Rosa’s Mexican roots and established history in lucha libre make her a natural fit for CMLL, and her enthusiasm for the possibility suggests she would be an easy partner for the promotion to work with if discussions were to progress. Whether a formal approach has been made or conversations have begun has not been confirmed, but Rosa’s public interest makes the prospect worth watching closely.
