Liv Morgan Fans Are Going To Want To See This

The concern surrounding Liv Morgan’s WrestleMania 42 status appears to be easing significantly. Following a frightening backstage angle on the April 6 Raw that sent both Morgan and Roxanne Perez into concussion protocol, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is now reporting that WWE is not concerned about Morgan missing WrestleMania 42, and that there is a strong sense of optimism internally that both women will be cleared in time for the show.

The incident occurred during a backstage segment in which Morgan and Perez were discussing Finn Balor’s removal from The Judgment Day when Stephanie Vaquer attacked Morgan from behind. The attack caused Morgan and Perez to clash heads hard before Vaquer threw Morgan into a television set to end the segment. Both women developed haematomas on their foreheads as a result of the collision, and Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer had reported in the immediate aftermath that if WrestleMania were happening that weekend, the match probably would not take place.

No Heat on Stephanie Vaquer Following the Raw Angle That Put Morgan and Perez in Concussion Protocol

The updated picture from WrestleVotes is significantly more optimistic. There is also reported to be no heat on Vaquer internally for her role in the angle — a relevant detail given that the nature of the spot, with Morgan crashing into Perez, was an unintended consequence of the planned attack rather than a deliberate decision. Vaquer publicly mocked Morgan in the aftermath, posting on social media to taunt her about the injury — a piece of character work that played directly into the Women’s World Championship storyline regardless of the genuine concern happening behind the scenes.

With WrestleMania 42 Night One now just days away, the shift from concern to optimism is a significant development for one of the most anticipated matches on the entire card. Morgan won the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble and immediately targeted Vaquer, setting up a rivalry that has built consistently over the past several weeks and produced some of the most emotionally charged television in the women’s division in recent memory. Vaquer vs. Morgan is confirmed for Night One of WrestleMania 42 on Saturday, April 18 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. WWE has not issued an official statement on Morgan’s medical status, but the internal optimism reported by WrestleVotes suggests the match is very much expected to go ahead as planned.
