Ridge Holland Cleared to Return to Wrestling After Cervical Disc Replacement Surgery

Luke Menzies — known to WWE fans as Ridge Holland — has been medically cleared to return to professional wrestling following a cervical disc replacement surgery performed at Hospital for Special Surgery in November 2025. Menzies shared his doctor’s clearance letter on social media, confirming that his recovery has been successful and he is now medically approved to return to full contact activity with no restrictions.

The letter from his physician confirmed the positive outcome in detail. “He has progressed very well post-operatively, with an excellent clinical recovery. His follow-up imaging demonstrates appropriate positioning and function of the implants without complication. At this time, he has returned to his baseline level of function and physical capacity. Given his recovery, he is medically cleared to return to professional wrestling activities as well as contact sports.”

Ridge Holland’s WWE Contract Was Terminated in November Before His Cervical Surgery Making His Future Uncertain

The clearance is significant but complicated by Menzies’ current employment situation. His WWE contract was terminated in early November due to an alleged breach after he was informed the company would not be renewing his deal when it expired in mid-November — leaving him a free agent at the same time he was preparing to undergo major neck surgery. He had originally been sidelined by a Lisfranc foot injury suffered at TNA Impact tapings in September, making the period from September through November 2025 an extremely difficult stretch personally and professionally.

With the neck surgery now behind him and full clearance in hand, Menzies is free to pursue opportunities across the wrestling landscape. His physical profile and in-ring ability make him an appealing signing for multiple promotions, and the clean bill of health removes the medical uncertainty that might have otherwise complicated any potential deal. Where he lands next will be one of the more interesting free agent stories to watch in the coming weeks.
