Stephanie Vaquer has addressed the confusion surrounding her WWE theme song change in February, acknowledging fan attachment to her previous music while explaining that circumstances outside her control made the switch necessary. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Vaquer kept her explanation brief but genuine.

“I like it. I love my old song. But, you know, many issues, so we need a new song. I just hope people can understand that,” she said.

The old theme — “Bury Me” by Chris Egert — had developed a strong connection with fans during Vaquer’s rise to the WWE Women’s World Championship, making its replacement jarring for many when the new Def Rebel track “La Primera” debuted in February.
