Santino Marella has publicly floated the idea of appearing at WWE Clash in Italy on May 31, calling it a full circle moment given that Italy is where his WWE career began nearly two decades ago.
Responding on X to a fan-made poster featuring him at the event, Marella wrote: “It would be a full circle moment for sure.”
The significance runs deep. Marella made his televised WWE debut on the April 16, 2007 episode of Raw from Milan, when Vince McMahon selected him from the crowd as an impromptu challenger for Umaga’s Intercontinental Championship. The match was made no-disqualification, Bobby Lashley came out to assist, and Marella shockingly won the title in his first ever WWE match.
Marella is not currently under WWE contract but serves as TNA’s on-screen Director of Authority. The ongoing WWE-TNA partnership has already facilitated crossover appearances, including Marella’s NXT return in July 2025 when he challenged Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship. No WWE appearance has been announced. Clash in Italy takes place May 31 at the Inalpi Arena in Turin.
