Brock Lesnar is expected to appear in WWE after Clash in Italy this Sunday, with SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis understood to be the target for his official retirement, per WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select and Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
WrestleVotes reported that Lesnar is not currently scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18 at Madison Square Garden. Meltzer noted that WWE’s plan for most of the year has been for Lesnar to officially retire at SummerSlam, which takes place in his home state of Minnesota. He also acknowledged the unusual situation of Lesnar already using the word “retired” on WWE television while actively competing, and said WWE is using the word loosely.
Lesnar briefly retired at WrestleMania 42 after losing to Oba Femi, leaving his gloves and boots in the ring before returning on the May 18 Raw to attack Femi and set up Sunday’s rematch. He told Paul Heyman in a video segment this week: “You’re gonna get your ass kicked by a humbled, retired Beast.”
