Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther in a Tables Match in the main event of Wednesday night’s WWE house show at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool — the first stop of WWE’s European Summer Tour and the first-ever WWE house show in Liverpool — heading into their Undisputed WWE Championship match at Clash in Italy on Sunday.
Rhodes escaped a powerbomb, hit the Cross Rhodes, and sent Gunther through a table to win. The victory was Gunther’s first singles loss since retiring John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2025. After the match, Rhodes brought an elderly fan named Mandy into the ring, hugged her, gifted her a signed weight belt, and raised her hand to a crowd ovation.
