WWE Clash in Italy took place Sunday, May 31 from the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy — the first WWE Premium Live Event ever held in the country. Here are the full results.
Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther to retain
Rhodes and Gunther went right at each other from the opening bell, with Gunther taking the early advantage. Rhodes mounted a comeback including a scoop slam that drew a pop from the Turin crowd and a Pedigree for a near fall. A disaster kick set up the Cross Rhodes, also for two. Gunther slowed things down with a sleeper that dropped Rhodes to the mat, with Rhodes surviving by reaching the bottom rope. The two traded exchanges before Rhodes hit a cutter and connected with the Cross Rhodes for the pinfall — but Gunther’s leg was visibly under the rope at the count of three. The referee did not catch it. Gunther protested the finish as Rhodes was declared the winner.
WWE Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to retain
Cargill controlled the early going and worked over Ripley’s lower back throughout. A missed elbow drop gave Ripley her opening, and she avoided a spear before building momentum with a missile dropkick. A second dropkick off the top rope got a near fall. Cargill cut her down with a backdrop before Ripley responded with a head kick, then hit a Razor’s Edge and a Shining Wizard for two. Michin interfered from ringside in the closing stretch but Ripley overcame it and put Cargill away with her finisher to retain.
Brock Lesnar defeated Oba Femi
Lesnar rushed Femi at the bell and immediately hit an F-5. A second F-5 followed, then a third, then a fourth — Femi kicked out at two. Lesnar locked in a kimura but Femi powered out. A fifth F-5 got another near fall. Femi fired back with a chokeslam for two, then clotheslined Lesnar over the top rope to the floor. Lesnar recovered and drove Femi through the announce table with an F-5. Femi fought back inside the ring before Lesnar escaped a powerbomb attempt and hit a seventh F-5 for the pinfall.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Sol Ruca defeated Becky Lynch to win the title
Lynch dominated the majority of the match before Ruca mounted a comeback. Ruca connected with an outside moonsault from the top rope and a dropkick before going for her finisher — Lynch avoided it and locked in an armbar. Ruca escaped. Lynch exchanged words with referee Jessika Carr throughout. Ruca hit a facebuster off the top for a near fall. Lynch pushed Carr into the ropes, sending Ruca crashing down — but the plan backfired. Ruca recovered, hit an outside dive onto Lynch, and returned to the ring. Lynch attempted the Sol Snatcher but Ruca countered into a Rock Bottom for two. Ruca then hit the Sol Snatcher for the pinfall and the championship. It is Ruca’s first title in WWE.
World Heavyweight Championship (Tribal Combat): Roman Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu to retain
Reigns got the early jump but Fatu fought back and the two brawled into the crowd. They worked their way back to ringside, where Reigns launched the ring steps to the floor to take out Fatu, then connected with a Drive By as Fatu’s head smacked against the ring post. Reigns landed a Superman Punch as Fatu came launching at him from the ring to the floor, then targeted Fatu’s hand with a toolbox. Fatu fought back with two corner splashes before Reigns caught him with another Superman Punch and speared him through the barricade.
Back in the ring, Reigns hit a spear for two. He began exposing a turnbuckle before Fatu went for the Tongan Death Grip — Reigns blocked it and sent Fatu headfirst into the exposed steel. Fatu answered with a spear of his own for two, then hit his finisher for another near fall. As Reigns kicked out he caught Fatu low. Reigns followed with a spear through a table and one final spear for the pinfall. As per the stipulation, Fatu must now acknowledge Reigns as Tribal Chief.
