One of the most memorable moments of last year’s Survivor Series was seeing Iyo Sky launch herself off the top of the WarGames cage with a trash can over her head. However, the “Genius of the Sky” recently admitted that the stunt was just as terrifying for her as it looked to the audience. Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Sky broke down the split-second panic she felt once the metal can covered her eyes.
“I didn’t realize. In my head, ‘Oh maybe I can do that move that is good idea to use for War Games match.’ Then I come up top of the cage, and I try to put the trash can on my head. After that, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t see anything. I’m so blind now. Wow, it’s so dark. What should I do?’” Sky recalled. despite the fear, she committed to the spot. “I just started scared. [I said to myself] ‘Anyway, I have to jump off from here. Boom. That’s all.’” Her bravery resulted in one of the year’s standout highlights.
