Logan Paul is no longer a part-timer. The social media megastar signed a new long-term contract with WWE in January, officially joining the roster as a full-time competitor and aligning himself with The Vision faction on Raw. In a recent interview with “The Takedown” on Sports Illustrated, Paul opened up about his motivation for increasing his commitment to the squared circle.
“I realized I’m too good to leave all that meat on the bone. The WWE needs me. They need me. The audience needs me, because there is no one like me,” Paul stated confidently. He noted that while the roster is full of “gangsters” like Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, it lacked a Logan Paul. “It took me 27 years to realize, I was born to be a wrestler.”
Paul also touched on his recent back-and-forth with NFL legend Tom Brady regarding athleticism. “Bro, the worst NFL Combine of all time,” Paul said of Brady. “It doesn’t matter how many Super Bowls you won, how many United States titles have you won? How many subscribers do you have on YouTube? What’s your net worth?”
He went a step further, claiming that NFL players couldn’t hack it in the wrestling world. “If you plucked 99% of NFL athletes from the team and put them in a WWE ring, they would s**t the bed. They would not be able to do it. It is the hardest thing in the world to do.”
