WWE Re-Evaluating WrestleMania 42 Card Amidst Slow Ticket Sales

With WrestleMania 42 just two months away, WWE is reportedly scrambling to boost interest in their biggest event of the year. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, ticket sales are trailing significantly behind last year’s pace. As of Friday morning, Night One has distributed 36,964 tickets and Night Two 36,737—roughly 10,000 fewer than WrestleMania 41 at the same point.

Creative Changes and Discounts

The sluggish sales have reportedly led to internal frustration and a re-evaluation of the entire card. While CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns remains the planned main event for Night Two, the rest of the lineup is “open to changes.” Dave Meltzer reports that an all-department meeting was held on February 12 to address the situation, with disagreements emerging over whether to stick to the original plan or pivot to generate more buzz.

To combat the slow movement, Allegiant Stadium has announced a 25% discount on tickets through February 16 using the code “WINTER.” The drop in sales is being attributed to higher ticket prices under the TKO regime and a 9.2% decline in Las Vegas tourism over the last year.
