The Hardy Boyz are navigating a unique path in 2026, balancing their loyalty to TNA with their legendary status in WWE. In a new interview with Metro, Matt Hardy revealed that the brothers remain in “constant negotiations” with WWE regarding future projects, despite being signed to TNA.
Matt emphasized that it was important for the duo to stay with TNA rather than returning to WWE as a full-time act. “In TNA, we’re going to be put in a position to succeed, and we can contribute, and we can help the company grow,” he explained. However, he assured fans that this doesn’t mean the end of their WWE appearances. “I think you’re going to see some more cool Hardy Boyz moments in WWE before it’s all said and done in 2026.”
The brothers had a successful crossover run in 2025, appearing on NXT multiple times and even capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships in October before losing them back to DarkState at Halloween Havoc. With the “Forbidden Door” seemingly wide open, fans can likely expect Team Xtreme to pop up on WWE programming again soon.
