MJF is taking his “reign of terror” to the independent circuit once again. AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman is scheduled to defend his title at House of Glory’s No Turning Back event this Friday, February 20. The show will take place at the Amazura Concert Hall in Jamaica, New York—less than an hour from MJF’s hometown of Plainview.
House of Glory announced on Sunday that the main event will feature a “Champion vs. Champion” clash, as MJF puts the AEW World Title on the line against HOG Crown Jewel Champion Zilla Fatu. While billed as a dual-champion bout, only MJF’s title will be at stake. HOG promoted the match as “one of the most monumental matches in House of Glory history.”
This marks the third time MJF has defended the championship since winning it at World’s End, and the second time outside of AEW programming. He previously defeated Alec Price at the Limitless Rumble in Maine. To hype the match, MJF cut a scathing promo on social media, referring to Fatu—the son of Umaga and cousin to Roman Reigns—as a “sloppy Samoan nepo baby.”
