Bronson Reed’s Injury Forces Major WWE Creative Pivot Ahead of WrestleMania 42

Four days after tearing his biceps on Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed came out of surgery with a positive message for his fans. The imposing superstar suffered the injury during a crucial television main event. The timing of the injury forced the creative team to adjust their plans.

Reed shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed on his Instagram account late Friday night. He was shown tied up in all manner of equipment and braces following the procedure. He included a simple but determined message for his supporters.

“Surgery done. Tomorrow is DAY ONE. The road back,” Reed wrote.

Reed tore his biceps during an Elimination Chamber qualifying match on Raw. He was originally scheduled to win the match, but could not physically continue. That audible led to Jey Uso winning the match instead to secure the spot.

However, the storyline shifted again during tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The broadcast opened with Uso being placed into an ambulance in the parking lot. He had been assaulted by an unknown attacker, rendering him unable to compete.

Logan Paul, who is Reed’s stablemate in The Vision, faced Jacob Fatu later in the show. The winner of the impromptu contest would officially replace Uso in the Chamber match. Paul won the match after Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre attacked Fatu to cost him the bout.

Prior to the finish, the masked man who had been attacking members of The Vision returned to the ring. He was looking to take out Austin Theory with a stomp maneuver. However, Paul exited the ring and took the attacker out.

Paul managed to unmask the individual in front of the live crowd. It revealed an unidentified man who was quickly taken away by WWE officials. The mystery surrounding the faction continues to grow deeper.

Assuming nobody else is taken off the show in the next 24 hours, the field for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match is officially set. Paul will join Randy Orton, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams. They will battle inside the steel cage on Saturday night.

The Elimination Chamber premium live event takes place on February 28, 2026, at the United Center in Chicago. The winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber match will earn the right to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
