Rhea Ripley has revealed a bloody injury that sent her to the emergency room this week — and she did not hold back when it came to sharing the details with fans. The WWE star posted a warning to followers before sharing images of a large gash on her leg that required stitches, documenting the unexpected detour to hospital in a series of since-deleted Instagram Stories.

The situation first came to light when Ripley’s long-time partner Buddy Matthews posted a photo on Instagram of Ripley sitting in a hospital bed flipping off the camera, captioning it simply with the word “Wasted.” Ripley later provided the fuller picture herself.

“What an eventful day,” she wrote in her Stories. “If you have a weak stomach or don’t like injuries, please don’t look at my next story.” The following image showed the gash in question — a substantial cut on her leg — alongside a smaller image showing the wound after it had been stitched up. “Nice little detour to the emergency room for me today,” Ripley wrote as the caption.

She did not explain how the injury occurred, and there is no indication it poses any threat to her WrestleMania 42 match against WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The injury appears to be non-wrestling related and the stitched wound, while visually striking, does not appear severe enough to impact her in-ring availability.
