WWE NXT Call-Ups Discussed

WWE is actively discussing main roster promotions for several NXT performers following WrestleMania 42, with Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe, and Jacy Jayne the four names currently at the forefront of those conversations according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The post-WrestleMania period is traditionally when WWE reshuffles its rosters and creates opportunities for developmental talent to make the jump to Raw or SmackDown.

The discussions come with a notable caveat. Lola Vice and Tony D’Angelo winning championships at NXT Revenge has reportedly removed both from call-up consideration for the time being. Vice captured the NXT Women’s Championship and D’Angelo won the NXT Championship, and title reigns typically signal that WWE intends to keep those performers centrally positioned in NXT programming rather than transitioning them upward in the near term.

Of the four names being discussed, Jacy Jayne carries the most main roster experience, having previously competed on SmackDown as part of Toxic Attraction before returning to NXT. Her familiarity with the main roster environment makes her one of the smoother potential transitions of the group. Ethan Page has been one of NXT’s most established performers since arriving on the brand and has consistently been positioned at the top of the card. Ricky Saints and Blake Monroe represent newer talents being developed with a main roster future in mind, and their inclusion in the conversation suggests WWE is happy with the trajectories of both.

Post-WrestleMania 42 Roster Shakeup Expected to Create Opportunities for NXT Talent on Raw and SmackDown

The timing of any call-ups would likely align with the annual post-WrestleMania roster reconfiguration, which typically sees WWE move talent between Raw, SmackDown, and NXT as it sets up the spring and summer programming calendar. WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, meaning the post-WrestleMania shakeup could begin as early as the following week’s Raw and SmackDown. The inclusion of four NXT names in active call-up discussions reflects a healthy pipeline of talent that WWE appears ready to introduce to larger audiences in the coming weeks.
