Liv Morgan Hoots On Injury Before WWE WrestleMania

Liv Morgan wrestled her WWE Women’s World Championship match at WrestleMania 42 with a hematoma on her head and two black eyes, the new champion has revealed. Morgan won the title in the penultimate match of Night One, defeating Stephanie Vaquer to capture the championship. The match came after weeks of uncertainty stemming from a backstage segment on the April 6 episode of Raw, where Morgan and Roxanne Perez collided heads in a botched spot that left both injured.

Liv Morgan Recalls WrestleMania 42 Hematoma Injury

Speaking with Gino Salomone of watchginotv, Morgan recounted exactly how the injury happened. “I pretty much was having a meeting with my little prodigy, Roxanne Perez, in the Judgment Day clubhouse. No one gets access to the clubhouse unless you’re in the Judgment Day. Stephanie Vaquer — my WrestleMania opponent whom I defeated at WrestleMania because I’m so much better than her — snuck into the clubhouse. She shoved me from behind, which was what she was doing my whole entire feud with her.” Morgan said the resulting head-clash with Perez left her with a massive hematoma and the blood draining downward gave her two black eyes. “I won at WrestleMania with a giant hematoma on my head, and two black eyes. It’s kind of iconic.”

Liv Morgan Plans To Wrestle Until “The Wheels Fall Off”

Despite recent ventures into singing and acting, Morgan made clear she has no plans to step away from in-ring competition. She told watchginotv she plans to wrestle until the wheels fall off, even with new career paths opening up. Morgan is now in her third reign as Women’s World Champion — and also became the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Champion during her 2024 run. WWE has heavily pushed the narrative that Morgan is “no longer the bridesmaid” with this latest title win, suggesting the company has something significant planned for her current reign.
